2. Sahiwal :
Sahiwal originated from the Sahiwal district of
pakistan and now found in Punjab, Haryana, U.P,Delhi,Bihar
and M.P. Their colour is reddish brown to the red, with variable
amount of white on neck and underline.In bulls the color darken
towards extremities such as the head, legs and tails. The male
have big hump and it's height at withers of 136 and 120cm for
males and females respectively.
It is tick-resistant, heat-tolerant and noted for its
high resistance to parasites, both internal and external. The
Sahiwal is the heaviest milker of all Zebu breeds and it's average
milk production is 2270kg of milk / lactation.
It is mostly preferred for its heat tolerence,ease of
